Trip Introduction:
Weather was exceptionally warm paid to get a towed because I had shoulder surgery not that long ago didn’t know how much paddling I could do and we stayed only halfway up 3 mile Island gorgeous campsite with a sand beach. Monday it was warm and wonderful and then came Tuesday warm and wonderful but then came Tuesday night. 18 trips hub together but never a bear. It was about 3AM when my daughter woke me up to say there’s a bear. I had 2 small bearproof containers they were gone in the morning. My dog never barked. We found 1 of them. Wednesday night it was back. We banged pans but it came back a couple of hours later. Also that same night went to the latrine together. I was to sit down when she screamed. Said it was huge. I couldn’t believe it huffed while going by the tent. So daughter said we are leaving she didn’t care if she had to paddle 18ft canoe and get Sawbill Outfitters to come and get me. We paddled out.
