Trip Introduction:
First time trek was very good.
Report
Once we got into Insula and got setup it poured all night and the next night, it rained most of the trip but the fishing was very good. We caught all the 14-18 inch walleyes we wanted, most on jig and leech or bobber and jig with a leech. We got a few nice pike and some nice smallies. Chris was reeling in a 17 inch smallie when a pike attacked the fish 3 times, when he got it in it was all cut up. I ran over and he said it was a big pike with marks, I casted in with a big spinnerbait and he ate it. The marks I think were from a eagle, you be the judge. All in all a great trip.
