Wonderful report, thans a lot. I've been windbound on those long lakes before, you were lucky to have calmer weather than I had on that loop.

I enjoyed your trip report, Lightfoot - there were a lot of similarities to mine. I entered East Bearskin a couple of days after you, which was a switch from the west side of Gunflint. Very similar scenery, lakes not quite as big, same weather, of course. You took better pictures than me, though.

Wow, loved the trip report. Pics were fantastic - great shots and amazing color. Congrats on 25 years!! love the tradition, your buddy really missed out, but it's totally understandable given his circumstances.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice report and great photographs! It's a shame your one buddy couldn't make it though. Here's hoping for another 25 years!

Great report. I went through that area about 2 weeks later and a lot of those colorful leaves were gone. I always enjoy your photos....I can almost smell the pine needles when looking at them.

I always enjoy your reports, Lightfoot. Thanks for sharing this one. It's too bad your friend could not be with you for year 25, but it looks like the trip turned out great.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Glad the report and photos were enjoyed by many.

Just to let you know, Craig has already reseved his vacation time at his new job, for this year's trip. So, he'll get his 25 years in, just a little behind the rest of us.
