Entry Point 44 - Ram Lake

Ram Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 26 miles. Access is a 90-rod portage from the parking area. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Yeah, sorry I missed you guys. I had to attend the funeral of a good friend. But your trip sounded like a good one. Pretty cool you could travel together.

Nice report! I think this is the first time I've read a trip report where I had first talked to the person about their trip. Like I talked to you about at wingnight....that boulder field is nasty when wet and I also had a painful fall there with a pack and canoe on. I still don't know how I managed to get back up.
