Entry Point 40 - Homer Lake

Homer Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Access is a boat landing at Homer Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Thanks for the report. I have never been to that area. Your last pic made me think of a fish my husband caught. He was trolling on Kekekabic as we paddled to find a campsite for the night. He said, "Hold up, I think I picked up a weed. Or else it is a very lazy fish."


Turned out it was a fish smaller than the one you are holding up. The lure was more than half its size, but it had gone whole hog for it! A little fish with big aspirations we sent on his merry way. Watch out, he'll be a lunker some day.
