Trip Introduction:
Our trip was the first to the boundary waters but definitely not the last. We have been going on trips each summer and each year they become more adventurous. We had great weather during the first 3 days of the trip, which was excellent considering the guys we met when we were pulling out had been in rain for 5 days straight. The fishing was good, but almost too much work was done on the portaging! We picked some longer portages hoping to get away from any people, but the portages we picked were only used by small animals, if any! ...meaning that they were very hard! All of our gear we packed was right on the money and it was an overall great experience, minus the last day of all rain, which we had to do 5 portages and paddle accross the mighty Brule in 35 mph winds to get to the car! Looking forward to another trip!
