Nice report on a sweet solo trip. Its been 2 years since my last BW solo. Your report has inspired me to do one next spring. Hope it happens.

Nice trip report - and good looking fish! This is one of my favorite areas - but I haven't been back since the fires destroyed Alpine. it was good to see the pictures. Thanks for sharing.

I may have to stop reading trip reports. I long to be there when I do. Makes the winter seem loooong. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a great trip.

Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

i like re-reading them in the winter. helps allot with missing canoe country syndrome.

We stayed at the same site on Ogish that you did. We were there in early August. We caught some nice smallies right from camp. Very nice site!

what a treat to feel like you have the whole place to yourself. i like your method of travel, without a set-in-stone plan for each day. you surely did luck out with the weather, too.
thanks for sharing your trip and your photos. the area looks inviting despite the burn.

Enjoyed that report. Where exactly on Ogish was that honey hole you was talking about?
