Entry Point 24 - Fall Lake

Fall Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 7 miles. "Access is a boat landing at Fall Lake. Several trip options to Newton, Basswood, & Mud Lakes with additionalportages." This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

I kind of agree with you maybe a little rough for the girls first trip but they sure looked like they enjoyed it. I loved the part where you said "I informed them they were going" way to make a management decision Dad. Hopefully for the next trip they "inform" YOU they are going. My girls made about 2-3 trips with my wife and I when they were younger and never went back, My oldest son goes on at least 2 trips a year with me and when the other 2 sons get out of the Navy I'm sure they will get to go with me. Nice report and cool pictures, really liked the ones in the sleeping bags, and the one of the "relaxed" fisherperson. FRED

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fourtune to remember the ones do, and the eyesight to tell the differance.
