Trip Introduction:
Great Lake Trout fishing on both Ima and Thomas lakes.
Report
We went in on Sunday morning about 11:00. We fished our way to Ima and set up camp there. When we first got into Ima we caught a 5-6 lbs trout within 10 min. We were planning on going to Thomas on Monday, but the weather got pretty bad. It rained and blew all day. We did some fishing from our island campsite, but only caught one trout form shore. It cleared up that night so we went out again and caught 3 more trout. On Tuesday we packed up and went to Thomas Lake for a night. We caught 6 trout, one walleye and 2 northern on Thomas. We then packed up on Wednesday and went back to Ima, we got in about 4:00 pm on Wed. Wed. night and Thursday morning we caught another 4 trout. We got back to EP 27 about 2:00 pm. All in all this was a great trip.
