Great report! I loved all the photo's. It sounded like everyone had a great time. Will the newbies be going back?

Always fun when you're breaking in some newbies.

Also, if I may make one additional recommendation for future gear adjustments, you may want to consider investing in one of these ... ;)

Great report and photos. I can identify with the "...one must become the water" philosophy after the all-night rain., And totally agree with the conversion to gravity filter--what a difference!

Yes, IMO always wear these and also bring a spare pair of sunglasses and or prescription. Paddling lakes without good sunglasses on a sunny day will be painful and bad for your eyes.

Love the trip report so far, I’m halfway through. Taking newbies can be very fun as long as they are into it with a good attitude. The opposite could ruin your vacation time. I’ve been in both of these situations.

Great report. We've settled into a tripping style of travel hard and far the first day to get deep into the BW. Then settle back and enjoy a more relaxing pace during the rest of the trip. We switched to a gravity filter about 5 trips ago and it has been one of the biggest improvements we've made for comfort.
