Nice report. Good intel for Beartrap route. Learning what works and what to leave behind for future trips is half the fun.

Also a great reminder of how fortunate us local Minnesotans are for easy access.. Planes, and rental automobiles. Oh my..

Thanks for the report. Enjoy the winter dreaming and planning.

Fun trip report--great photos! Interesting to see the part about the PMA--we did the Beartrap River back before it was a PMA and I think I need to go back now and look at my old trip report and compare some of the views. But I didn't have nearly as many (or as high-quality) photos.

Thanks for sharing.

Very enjoyable trip report. I love your style of writing. Glad the solo with the double bladed paddle worked out so well for you.

Thanks for posting! It was a fun read for me as well.

I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it!

Great report and some very nice photos!

I've been all over that area with the exception of Beartrap River and Iron.

I love Crooked Lake and we are headed there this year at the end of July. Hopefully we see as many people as you did. LOL
