Report
We have done a number of trips entering on the west side, so this was our first east side trip. I was a little worried when the temp was 33 degrees picking up our canoe from the outfitters in Grande Marais. The concern was totally unfounded as when we go to EP69 shortly before noon the temp was in the low 70's. I am a Brook Trout enthusiast so our trip was geared toward working our way from McFarland into Pine, to work some trout lakes, them into West Pike to work another. Weather was good fishing weather, a little cloudy, a little windy and some rain. The fishing was good, the memories even better. Will do this trip again.
