Entry Point 37 - Kawishiwi Lake

Kawishiwi Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Isabella; Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Access is a boat landing at Kawishiwi Lake.

That was inspiring for me. Being older and wanting to do a solo. You have guts man. I'm jealous and I can't help it.

I loved reading your report. Sounds like a great trip with some nice camping sites. Would love to go solo on this route someday

Nice trip report. We covered all of this area on our "Long Trip" and I always like to read about it. Some of my favorite places in the BWCA. Thanks for sharing your report and your lovely photos.

Just reading your report now... Small world! I happened to be up there doing the same thing at the same time... My first solo (dog with me) - put in on Baker lake on 9/18/20 and came out on 9/21. 1 night on Cherokee, 1 night on Smoke and 1 night on Burnt. Sawbill was packed - couldn't get a site. Great pics - I wish I had taken more. Thanks for sharing!
