Entry Point 37 - Kawishiwi Lake

Kawishiwi Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Isabella; Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Access is a boat landing at Kawishiwi Lake.

Sounds like a great way to spend the 4th! Sawbill certainly is a beautiful lake, and I like how the EPs around there are more in the middle of nowhere vs. some of the EPs near Ely. It gives me more of a feeling of going to the wilderness that way for some reason.

Just a suggestion - try not using all caps. Regular type is much easier to read.

I think you did an excellent first trip with the entire family. Base camp on a lake that's a relatively short distance from the EP so you don't turn off anyone with grueling portages and paddling. Day trips to sightsee and lots of relax time in camp. Perfect for a first timer.

Nice first trip. My first trip didn't go as well and it took 15 years to return. Now the trips get better every time that I go. This year I will make two trips to start a precedent.
