Sounds like a great trip. I really liked your photos, what kind of camera were you using?

Wow! You have a great 'eye' for photos! Great report!

Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

I use a Pentax k-7 with a 28-300mm lens plus a 90mm macro lens. The panoramics were done with my iPhone.

Excellent report! Really love your pics. I've heard swans in that area too. Nice shot of the one in the grass. And there's a loon pic that is just fantastic!

Thanks Ethan. Love your photos. I bought an expensive (to me) camera because I wanted better pics of the BW. You do better with your I phone because you see things with a photographers eye.

Nice report and pics! I am impressed by the solitude you were able to find!! There was a fair amount of storm and rain but your fishing seemed to be pretty good.

Love the loon pic and wonder how you got the self portrait (?) out on the water on day 11.

For my self portraits I set up my tripod and set the camera timer for 12 seconds. I had to do about 3 or 4 takes before I got it right. I probably looked pretty silly running back and forth, then again no one else was around.

My wife usually waits until I get back and then she's off to Hawaii.
