Nice report Steve (we won't include Stevie because I know she didn't help!). :) Glad you enjoyed our secret BWCA recipes too. But, one question, where was the carrot cake you slacker? ;)

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.

Enjoyed the report and pictures, especially the first sunset picture and the river picture. It sounds like you had a good trip.

Nice report and pics! Thanks for sharing. You stayed at 2 of my favorite campsites. I stayed at that Gaskin site a few years ago with my wife and I stayed at that Caribou site w/ my 7 year old last year for our first daddy/daughter trip. Watching the people at the portage across from the Caribou site is very entertaining..... or should I say painful :) I told Mike at Rockwood I should have video taped it for him to show his customers what "not" to do on a portage. He laughed and said it would be too painful for him to watch :) I can see how you had trouble finding the Pillsbury to Swallow portage. We just stayed on Pillsbury coming from Swallow this weekend and when we got to the end of the portage we couldn't figure out why there wasn't a campsite next to it like the map showed. The next day we saw a canoe going to shore several times trying to find the portage.

Nice report, we loved that site on Caribou. Roomy and built in entertainment right across the lake from the portage landing. Lizz is a pretty lake, almost a shame they don't have a site on there.

Great report, we are heading back to this year in June, almost 4 years to the date of your report:)

I will have to do some research on the Cache Lake meals. I have read other people reference them before as well.

Thanks
