Entry Point 20 - Angleworm Lake

Angleworm Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 18 miles. Access is a 640-rod portage to Angleworm Lake.

Glad you had good fishing. Stormy weather seems to help with the fishing even if it causes a few "guess I'll just kiss my rump good bye" moments. We don't appreciate being able to get out of bad weather enough most of the time.


That rocky part of the portage is pretty rough. There doesn't seem to be any level ground to place your feet in a good direction in between the little pointy rocks. Go for a longer trip sometime if possible. Boot, Gun and Gull are all neat lakes to visit and you can even get to Crooked pretty easily once you've made it to Fourtown.
