Entry Point 12 - Little Vermilion Lake

Little Vermilion Lake (Crane Lake) entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (Unlimited max). This entry point is supported by La Croix Ranger Station near the city of Cook, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 45 miles. Enter from Crane Lake. Note: Not the entry point to use for Trout Lake (#1)

I've always traveled to LLC in and out of EP16. I like the idea of including LIS too.

Thank You all for your nice comments!! We truly had a great trip and made many fond memories.


I’m not sure if it’s the Lite or Titan model, but it’s a solo brand stove. I like it because you don’t have to carry fuel canisters or white gas and there always seems to be small branches or bits of wood around camp in the BWCA. Here’s a link to solo’s website.
