Entry Point 8 - Moose River South

Moose River (south) entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by La Croix Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 39 miles. Access is a canoe landing heading South from the Echo Trail. Three portages to enter Big Moose Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Thank you for sharing. Slim is a beautiful lake to hang out at for a a few. One of the things I like about going solo is being able to go with the flow and to be flexible with your plans.
