Thanks, nice report, sedges. I am familiar with most of the places you were. I just made my first trip to Cherokee - a beautiful lake - and was also fond of Gordon, another nice lake, but one people don't mention much.

Thanks.

I thought Gordon had a lot to offer. I did not have a chance to check out the two campsites. There is not much in the way of comments on these sites. Makes me think this is a pass-through lake mostly. I plan to stay there on one of my next trips.

Working on my trip report for 2018 trip. Same plan as 2016 except I did the whole planned loop. Marvelous route.

I really enjoyed your trip report and especially your lovely photos. You have a very good eye.

This is probably my favorite area of the park. We have been to Cherokee several times and I also appreciate Gordon Lake. Have camped there twice, and enjoyed paddling through another time as well. A very pretty spot. Some fond memories of the Cross Bay site, also.

Thanks for taking me back there this evening. :-)

I stopped at the southern site on Gordon. It's nothing special, but I could have used it as a solo (or even tandem) - one of the benefits of not going with a large group.

I'll look forward to your 2018 report.

I enjoyed your report. I did some preliminary planning for 2019 this past weekend and I think my route will follow the actual route that you took.

Quite a few of those places looked familiar from our spring trip last year. That Cross Bay site is fantastic. Thanks for sharing the trip report.
