Entry Point 24 - Fall Lake

Fall Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 7 miles. "Access is a boat landing at Fall Lake. Several trip options to Newton, Basswood, & Mud Lakes with additionalportages." This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

I think the spawn was a really big window this year. We went in the 14th and were encountering beds already getting dirty from post-spawn. We were still able to site fish a lot of smallies and caught countless in the 17-19 range and numerous 20+.
We were on the north end of South Arm. We also tore them up on Hanson and Ester.

Well done! We were on the north and south arms June 9-15 and there were some on beds then. Ned and buzzbait worked well

Oof winter rainforest to desert lol. Not sure which I would prefer out of those two. Glad you got out to get some fish though.
