Entry Point 27 - Snowbank Lake

Snowbank Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 24 miles. Access is a boat landing or canoe launch at Snowbank Lake. Many trip options for paddlers. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Great report and pictures. It sounds like you guys had a great time. I'll bet you already have this year's trip planned. There's nothing like fresh fish from crystal clear waters. My two sons are my fishing buddies. We always enjoy the thrill of fishing and camping in the Boundary Waters. We have a trip planned to Sylvania Wilderness this summer, but hope to get back to Boundary Waters real soon!

That reminded me of when I was a yougun' like yourself. All we wanted to do was eat and fish. Hope you guys have many more adventures together.

Can you share with me what kind of "portable rod holders" you use, maybe with a picture, and how you install them?
