Thanks for sharing your trip.

Your report makes me want to visit Spoon Lake. (It makes me not want to visit Snowbank.)

What are the pickles wrapped in jerky? How did you resist eating them while on Pickle Lake?

Sounds fun Anastasia,

Thanks for cutting the tree over the portage. I know about garbage, we hauled out around 100 pounds of trash from one site this year. They set up a winter camp and left it.

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

I always bring along a mini pouch of dill pickles on my longer trips....and the jerky we had was in longer, flexible strips. Worked great, a reprieve from bars, trail mix, and dried fruit!

I thought about eating them on Pickle....but we had just had breakfast.

Always enjoy your contributions to the site and enjoyed this trip report. Good info, always. I was especially struck by one sentence you wrote: "The days revolve around the weather, the sunrise and set, meals, the work of travel and setting up camp, firewood. Such peace." I think that pretty much says it all for me! Thanks.

Fantastic trip report - thank you for sharing. You are one heck of a photographer. Made for a wonderful lunch break here at work. :)
