Please note there are no photos YET to go with this long-overdue report. The photos are non-digital and I have yet to get them scanned. Hope you enjoy the trip without photos for now . . .

Great report, Goose. Sounds like a great trip. I'd love to see the pictures if you can get them scanned. Thanks.

Excellent report. Doesn't matter a bit that it occurred 14 years ago. Ha ha. The moose were plentiful on this trip. I've heard the frost river system is well populated by moose.

Why did you paddle odem backwards by the way?

BearBrown: the bow seat is closer to center than the stern seat, so you are closer to the position you would have in a solo canoe.

Pictures have been scanned from old prints and added. Hope you enjoy!
(This effort has really made me want to go back to this great area!)

By the way, a better picture of the glacial erratic (taken from shore) can be found at Paul Sundberg's website:

Very cool for me to read this as I did a very similar route in 1986. Enjoyed the pics too!

Nice report, OGG. Loved the pictures--you've got a good eye with the camera. I haven't been in that area yet, but your report gives me reason to add it to my future trip list.
