Entry Point 62 - Clearwater Lake

Clearwater Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (10 HP max). This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Motors allowed on Clearwater Lake only. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

It does. I did all the planning, made all the phone calls, bought and packed all the food, and packed all the gear. But hey.....that's all part of the fun for me!

I really enjoyed your report. I was in that area in August as well. We put in on Clearwater and made a beeline for Little Caribou. We were lucky to get the site and spent three great days there. We saw the same otter family and the beaver. I also thought it was odd that the water was so green.
