Yeah, my last six trips have been a lot better than the first two. The main thing I learned on the first two was that I had a lot to learn about this.

Thanks for sharing your story. I empathize with you - I hate mosquitoes; they absolutely love me. You exhibited great perseverance, but you might want to substitute permethrin, DEET, and a headnet for it next time ;). I can assure you that you're not the first person to forget something - it's how most of us learned to use a checklist.
Now that it's over, it makes for a great story for you to tell...and probably leads to some changes for next time - like most of us.
Thanks again for sharing your story and taking me back to my first ones.

Really learned my lesson on this trip... But the part where we took a wrong turn was right before the 240 rod portage... Remember we made a right turn and it was just a small, weedy, back water area and the bugs were out of control!!!!

Ive been close to the breaking point from bugs, black flies to be specific. Its not fun.
As for forgetting something, I forgot my entire tackle box AND my full supply of tobacco last spring, that might be worse than no bug spray!
Thanks for the report and like boonie said, lists are good.

Yea lists are very good lol! I've been on a few trips since then. Soooo much better the next few times around. My first trip I just see it is a learning experience.
