Entry Point 80 - Larch Creek

Larch Creek entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 53 miles. Access from the canoe landing at Larch Creek. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Nice report! Glad you found the site open and some fish. Will she be up for another trip down the road?

Yes! She loved it. The 3 factors I was concerned may put a damper on the trip, weather, fish and bugs, all worked in our favor. That will not always be the case, but at least her first trip was a good one. Haven't been able to go up since then due to the busyness of life, and it may be a a little longer before we can go together. I at least have a solo trip planned for mid-June this year.
