Glad you had a good time. I love this area, in part due to the fact you have to work to get there.

I liked the ice bucket idea for the beer. What a great idea!

And glad you found the plane wreck. Pretty interesting way out there to see.

Very nice - I'll have to check that area out - perhaps this fall.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Nothing better then iced down beers in camp! It looked like a good time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the report. I've been through that area twice. Stayed at the island campsite on Wine the first time and loved it. Checked it out a few years later (2006 or 2007?) and a large tree had fallen right in near the firegrate and kind of ruined it. Glad it is back in good condition again.

Loved the ambition you guys had to go back over to Mug to get the snow to cool the beers. Me, I would have just drank the warm beer and talked about going over to Mug.

Nice report! I wouldn't have even taken any beers..just some ole whiskey or something, that's a lot of weight! Glad you had a great time though!

I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it!

What campsite on Wine Lake would you recomend? We are doing a loop and that will be our last night on Wine lake.

Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

Either the island site or the one closest to the portage to Frederick.

The island site is larger and has trails to walk around to different parts of the island. The site nearest the portage to Fredrick is smaller, but has a nice view. I like the island site better.

I haven't seen the third site.

Personally I'd recommend the island site. There's more room to stretch out and explore.

The one closest to the portage is also nice. The fishing should be better from there also.
