Other than all the rain, this sounds like it was an awesome trip. I'd like to do a basecamp-fishing trip sometime myself. More time to relax, enjoy, fish and photograph.

That walleye was a real nice fish. My largest is 26.5. Really enjoyed that you caught a fish on your camp made lure. Haha.

The "luke is an angry, young man" stories were a nice touch.

That was a great trip. Nicely written. Looking forward to this spring's trip. Still hope we do a 'moving' trip. Thanks Bro.

Don't just do something. Sit there.

Very entertaining trip report. If you still have the homemade lure try to post a close up of it. You guys crack me up. :)

Man, I would like to go to that lake again. I think we figured out how to catch the eyes a little late in the trip but I'm glad we did. A great fishing lake lots of smallies, couple of eyes, and I even hooked a nice pike on the way in(which stole one of my brand new $8 lures). Nice easy in, good for the very young or old or just lazy(like me sometimes)and good for short time frame trips. Where are we off to this year?

Pretty cool that you were able to catch fish with a hand carved lure. Sounds like a very enjoyable & memorable trip was had by all? Thanks for the report & photos. Both were very nice.
