Used to duck hunt Wood Lake mea weekend every year. I think the boats are still down there. One of our guys worked for the outfitter who owned them and had the key for them. Back then it wasn't part of the BWCA and the parking area was right on the highway. Also the. Bluebills came through there then... I don't think they do anymore. Do you use any kind of reportage yoke for your kayaks?

Yep, boats are there as were the ducks. Boats were half full of water so I tipped them over and put the life vest on the stump.
No yoke for the yak...just double carry. The tandem would be hard for one person anyway. I think I quad portaged on the way in. (Because I got there an hour ahead of the others.) And tripled on the way out.
Next time we will skip the solitude for an easy put in like 3 years ago.
The guy I got my map from said it was a resort that had them...??? I may have heard him wrong. He also said that back in the day he would DRIVE down to the lake. You had to have a good 4x4 but it could be done.
